Fundamentals of the Capability Maturity Model (CMM)
The Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute's (SEI's) Capability Maturity Model for Software provides an evolutionary strategy for software organizations to use in developing a mature, disciplined, software process. It covers practices for planning, engineering, and managing software development and maintenance. The CMM was developed under the guidance of SEI Fellow Watts Humphrey. This two-day course teaches the principles and concepts of the CMM. The textbook for the course, The Capability Maturity Model: Guidelines for Improving the Software Process, is provided.
